JEFF & GRETCHEN SMITH
Jeff hails from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where he grew up surfing and offshore fishing. After many years as a framing carpenter & charter fisherman, Jeff moved to Gainesville, Florida in 2004 where he became a General Contractor. During his time in Gainesville, Jeff built custom homes and luxury outdoor living spaces in some of the city's most affluent neighborhoods.
In Jupiter since 2010, Jeff was called back to the ocean where he was the captain and construction manager for a family on Palm Beach Island. Reigniting his passion for construction - he formed Paradigm One Contractors in 2019 and works tirelessly to help clients achieve their dream homes. Jeff’s knowledge of construction regulations, codes, standards, and practices is eclipsed only by his commitment to integrity and his genuine personality.
Gretchen is a native South Floridian with an extensive background in Project Management, Quality Assurance, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development. After 22 years working in the Yacht Industry, Gretchen joined Paradigm One Contractors in January of 2022. She’s always had an eye for design, but spending over two decades working with a variety of luxury yacht brands presented Gretchen with the opportunity to experience unique and exotic finishes, layouts, and materials - thus expanding her creativity even further.
Currently enrolled at the New York Institute of Art & Design, Gretchen continues to develop her expertise to help Paradigm’s clients feel comfortable and confident with the design and selections in their homes. Not one to sit in an office, you’ll also see Gretchen on the job site, where her experience in Project Management & Quality Assurance is often called upon.

Paradigm One Contractors is committed to our clients’ satisfaction. That starts by carefully listening to and understanding each vision for their project before estimating and scheduling takes place.
We work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including kitchen/bath, condominium renovation, full home renovations, commercial build outs and scaling up to new custom construction projects.
Your project deserves attention from the top, and that's what you'll get! Jeff Smith, Principle/Owner of Paradigm One Contractors will be your first point of contact at the start of your project and will guide the Project Manager and Subcontractors through completion. A site visit with Jeff will be scheduled to gain understanding of the scope of your project. Following that, Jeff will prepare and submit the bid, including the budget for labor and materials and will review the bid with you to ensure a clear understanding of the costs and timeline. In many cases, Jeff personally creates the detailed plans and drawings that render the design that you've discussed so that you have a clear understanding of the work that will be done. If you've engaged an architect for your project, Jeff will meet with you and the architect to ensure that the design and budget align, and to help identify any issues and offer suggestions to alleviate them upfront in order to avoid delays or added costs.
Upon execution of the contract, you’ll come by the North Palm Beach showroom to make design selections with Gretchen. During the selection & design process, you’ll also make a visit to some of the Paradigm One local material suppliers to choose your specialty items such as your countertop slabs, tile, and plumbing fixtures – the fun stuff!
Then, its off to the races. From demolition to final cleanup, Paradigm One Contractors will work diligently with and for you to ensure your project runs efficiently and on budget. We want you to love your home and look forward to helping you get there!
